Maximilian Günther signs for Paysafe Envision Formula E Team
Maximilian Günther will embark on a new era in his and Formula E’s history after being confirmed today as the first signing of the newly named Paysafe Envision Formula E Team.

29 year-old Günther joins the Chinese entered, British based team for the start of the Gen4 era of racing, which is set to herald a new exciting period of racing in the world’s only all-electric world championship competition.
Günther said farewell to the DS Penske squad last month after a two season period in which he scored two of the teams three victories since he joined at the start of the 2024-25 season.
Those two wins added to the five he had taken for BMW i Andretti and Maserati MSG between 2020 and 2024. Günther is one of only 11 drivers to have won seven or more E-Prixs in Formula E’s 12 season history and has marked himself out as one of the top performers throughout one of motorsports most talented grids.
These performances were what attracted Paysafe Envision to hiring Maximilian for the Gen4 rules set change, which will see the cars faster than ever with top speeds of over 205mph and an immediate acceleration from 0-200 km/h in under 4.4 seconds, outpacing Formula 1 cars. The ultimate power of the Gen4 will deliver 600kW of peak power, a 71% increase over previous generations of car.
Maximilian will race a Jaguar Gen4 car, a new design that he has already tested in Spain recently. He has integrated in to the team smoothly and is relishing the new challenge.

Paysafe Envision Racing are currently finalising an ambitious expansion of its facility at Silverstone in the UK with new facilities including a soon to be opened state-of-the-art on-site driver-in-the-loop simulator.
Maximilian will be in action with Paysafe Envision for the first time publicly from November 16-20 at the official pre-season test in Madrid. The first races at the Jeddah Corniche circuit in Saudi Arabia are scheduled for December 18-19.
