My exciting motorsport year 2018
Dear motorsport fans,
As you have noticed in the last weeks, a lot has changed before the upcoming season. In 2018 I will be driving in the FIA Formula 2 for BWT Arden and will continue to be a Pink Panther. In the new season, I’m looking forward to the competition in the race with a variety of strategy options at and around the pit stops. Of course, the tracks we drive on are a real hit, for example in Monaco it will be a dream for me, because it is really a privilege to circle such fast cars through the Principality. As a 12-year-old, I was there in the stands together with my parents and enthusiastically followed the racing scene. I can not wait to chase my new cars through the tunnel and around the harbor. All my racing dates you can see at the end bundled.
My goal is to get the most out of every weekend and drive the development in the right direction throughout the year. And of course I want to win races, so I’m a racing driver and that does not change a bit to the racing series of recent years.
After my best time of the week in the last few days of testing in Bahrain I’m currently on a good level, but in motorsport, especially in the FIA Formula 2, it is enormously important to get better and better. This affects every single parameter of our overall package.
Also, if the races take place in parallel with Formula One, I still can not quite guess if I’ll hear much of it. Since I’m fully engaged with the Formula 2 program, I think that I’m not very much aware of what’s happening around the premier class. Of course, if I have the time, I’ll be happy to watch it live.
Furthermore, this year I am also testing and replacement driver for Dragon Racing in Formula E. The Formula E has become very large in no time and offers incredible potential. The current starting field with many well-known drivers and champions shows the importance of the series within motorsport. I see Formula E as a very exciting opportunity for the future and I’m happy to be in full swing right now. During the rookie test at the beginning of the year in Marrakech, I was well received by the entire troupe and felt comfortable from the start. I look forward to it every day.
