Maximilian Günther to drive for DS PENSKE in Season 12
Maximilian Günther will continue to drive for DS PENSKE in the upcoming 2025/26 FIA Formula E World Championship – his eighth season in the fully-electric series.
The Franco-American DS PENSKE squad has raced in Formula E since the series’ inaugural 2014/15 season and has forged a respected reputation as a powerhouse organisation in the World Championship.
Max, from Oberstdorf in Germany, began his Formula E career with DS PENSKE in 2018 and rejoined the team ahead of the 2024/25 season following stints with brands including BMW-Andretti, Nissan, and Maserati.
In only his 13th race start, Max made history by becoming Formula E’s youngest race winner at the age of just 22 and has since become one of the series’ leading drivers, scoring a total of seven victories, 12 podiums and four pole positions from 99 starts.
By continuing his relationship with DS PENSKE, Max will continue to represent one of Formula E’s most successful manufacturers, DS Performance, which holds 18 wins, 55 podiums, 26 pole positions and four World Championship titles since joining the grid in 2015.
With preparations for Formula E’s 2025/26 season in full motion, Max will return to the cockpit this October for pre-season testing at Valencia’s Circuit Ricardo Tormo before contesting the São Paulo E-Prix on 6 December 2025.

To be building on this base that we have established is something that I‘m very much looking forward to. There’s an incredible spirit running through the whole team and I can’t wait to get the new season started!”
